So as everyone has said before, Arnold clark seems to have the monopoly of garages up here.
However, i have a warning light displaying on my dashboard. Its the yellow engine one. I have gone to three garages now and they all seem to hook the car up to a computer and tell me different things.
Need a garage who i can trust to just fix the problem without telling me its 5 things all linked together that all need replacing.

nah light just came on one day a few months ago.
Took it to one of those places to attach it to a computer and he said that it might be a sensor round the back of the engine..?

I did however get the turbo replaced about 6 weeks ago as it had been buggered and making an annoying noise and after the guy installed it, he also put the car on to the computer and said that the inter cooler pipe needed replaced and the glow plug were about to go.

HOWEVER, I took it to get its MOT this week and the guy there said that the turbo must need replacing again because the atmospheric pressure was causing the engine light to come on.

The car is however driving fine, the light is annoying but i don't want to be driving about causing more damage because something needs fixed.

Sensor at back of engine, I think they are referring to the boost sensor which is a common fault on the 1.3 engine often giving error code P0238.

Best way to check this is to measure the voltage on the signal wire 0.5-4.5v range. Sensor itself is £85 however I have fitted 2 to my own vehicles that I sourced from Russia on ebay for £13 in postage. 2 years later both vehicles are running great.

Turbo is easy to check.

got the actual print out of diagnosis here...

its error code P0106 atmospheric turbo pressures feasibility
and P0683 preheating glow plugs signal

I dunno why Glasgow doesn't have a proper Fiat garage, really is quite annoying.

had to resort to "who can fix my car" .com

it really is ridiculous that with the amount of fiat cars Glasgow (the biggest city in scotland) has, and there isn't a fiat specialist garage.

although, hilariously, i cant do anything about the car right now because ive recently moved address so sent away my registration document BUUUT i didnt know it can take up to 4 weeks to get that back and my tax is up tomorrow.. called the DVLA and they said "contact your council and park it on private ground"

.. excellent..

I can recommend CM garage in East Kilbride http://www.langlandsgarage.co.uk/

Had my recently bought Croma serviced and checked over thoroughly and was very happy with what they did and the associated customer service. They are a Fiat and Alfa independent garage.
