I've got a question about Fiat Albea (Siena/Palio) gearboxes.
Does a gearbox from some other fiat model fit? I mean that the engine is just the basic 1.4 8V "FIRE", so I think that the bolt-pattern around the clutch housing is the same as in Grande Punto, Stilo etc.....or is it? The gearbox is a five-speed unit manual.
I've got odd/extraordinary sound from My Albea's gearbox. Sound is coming from the clutch/primary shaft bearing. It's kinda dry squeak/ratle that occurs when the gearbox is cold after cold start. It's familiar sound from many Fiat models in the past (Uno, 127, 128, Tipo, Tempra etc) and it ain't necessarily anything serious, but it would be nice to know in the future, if it gets worse.
I'm from Finland and there aren't many Albeas or Palios/Sienas in here, so that's why I'm wondering gearboxes from other Fiat models.
