Yep mine came about half full too, difficult to see when the oil is new but with 1000 miles up now it's more clearly visible on the dipstick, it's actually a bit below half. As mentioned earlier, I have no idea what oil is in the car (5w or 0w) so can't be sure what to top it up with. I'll keep an eye on the level and will do an early change at 3k most likely with 5w40 and stick with that. Has anyone any thoughts on Castrol Magnatec?

Yep, over priced snake oil IMO.
Best sticking to regular changes than posh oil. I'd just use comma oils etc, or Fiats own brand if you want to make sure they don't try anything with warranty issues at a later date.
