Hello.
In Brazil, the new 500 models (2009/10~present) have some different engines.
I'm about to buy one, to be my first actually owned car (at times I drive a Fiat Punto 2013 1.6, and I love how sturdy it is when compared to the Ford Ka 2009 1.0, but I don't like how much it EATS fuel, and that's why I want the 500).

The Fiat 500 "Cult" model (named "Pop" in EU afaik) has the 1.4 Fire Evo 8v engine (85~88hp, flex [accepts gasoline and ethanol]).
Older models have the 1.4 Fire (only gasoline).

The Fiat 500 "Sport" and "Lounge" models have the 1.4 Multiair 16v engine (seems to be gasoline 100hp up to 2013, and flex 105hp 2013~present).

In my opinion, it's quite stupid that the 8v engine uses more fuel and gives less power than the 16v. The 16v is, of course, composed of more parts and better tunning, but the different models cost almost the same and after burning all that fuel more.

Given the pictures I've found, seems to be the same engine, other than the upper valve parts:

Is it possible to mount/transpant the "Multiair part", the 16v engine head assembly, to the 8v engine? Maybe it's needed to change the engine electronic module, maybe the settings in the 8v module, maybe configure some more of the software (I have tools for some of that). Or maybe some more parts are different and doing only so is impossible.
Also, can the 2012~13 gasoline only Multiair be converted to flex by updating the engine electronic module or do physical parts change?
