Hi
I'm encountering difficulties in calibrating the transmission system of a 1953 Fiat 1100 103 model. The issue arises during the manual adjustment of the gear linkage mechanisms located at the front of the engine.
Specifically, an anomalous gear engagement is observed where the vehicle, when intended to be shifted into second gear, inadvertently engages fourth gear. Conversely, when adjustments are made to ensure smooth transition into second gear, a subsequent malfunction is noted wherein the reverse gear becomes non-operational.
Would anyone be able to provide insight into the potential underlying mechanical faults? Additionally, any recommendations or guidelines for the correct setup and calibration procedure would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Tomaz
