all bulbs are correct to handbook spec...
if i put higher wattage bulbs in will this slow the flashing speed down ?

Possibly, but could melt housing and / or fail MOT.

You said all bulbs are making good contact and working didn't you? Might be worth for the sake of a few pounds changing all the bulbs for new ones incase there is a defective one that seems to be ok.

just talked to an auto electrician at work, and he says try adding another bulb linked to a circuit tester into the indicator wiring. if this slows down the flash speed then it might be possible to permanently fit a resistor in-line for a better fix. cheaper than new BCU..has anyone tried this???:idea:
