Does anyone know how to fix the “Entertainment telematic node failed” on multi scan proxi alignment after upgrading my 5” radio to a 7” radio with CarPlay. I’ve bought the registered licence but I’m not sure how to actually get the mileage to stop flashing.. when running the alignment it comes up with “failed - request out of range” message.. feeling quite lost and not been able to find anything of much use online of how to fix it.. thank you in advance!

For Information this is my cars scan log, and I will attach

a photo of the radio that is now fitted Thank you!

There's a fair chance the B+M has died..
Unplug it then try again

SEARCH B+M failure on here.. A common issue nowadays

I don’t think it’s a b&m problem, all ports are working, the radio and CarPlay are working, all controls working it’s just the mileage is flashing so I don’t believe it’s b&m but could be wrong? I believe it’s just due to the upgraded radio being fitted which has features my old radio didn’t have so needs recoding.. unsure on how to recode it correctly

Does the new radio have Bluetooth built in? And the original relied on the external B&M unit? If so, they are probably fighting each other.
If the new radio can handle your Bluetooth needs, you can disconnect the B&M unit, then in MES, disable it. Once disabled, when the proxy alignment is run, it will no longer expect to see the B&M, so will happily align the rest of the car, and the mileage should stop flashing.

By the looks of the label on the back having a Bluetooth logo I’d assume that means it does have it built in but I am not entirely sure I will research that further! please correct me if I am wrong but I have a 66 plate 1.2 lounge (information I should have provided sooner!) am I right in thinking that model no longer has blue and me and was replaced with Uconnect? My original 5” radio screen was Uconnect and so is this new 7”

It may depend on when your 66 plate was made. There was a facelift in 2015/16 and depending on what the new infotainment system came put of, it might not be compatible with your car. too new for the car to know how to speak to it.
The label on the back of the radio I took out was dated around 20th June 2016 off the top of my head if that is any help!

All features of the radio are working as they should be, only bit to now correct is the flashing mileage due to the change but unsure 100% how to recode it.. I’ve only found 1 blogpost of someone recoding their abarth in a similar way but it seems the coding is slightly unique to each car depending on the features, I’ve never worked with coding before so is it something I could essentially try replicating on my own vehicle to see if it stops the flashing or is that not how it works?

I will attach a link to the blog post I found

Thank you for your help! I appreciate it
