Punto (Mk1) Engine won't turn HELP PLEASE

Hi all, punto mk1 T reg, been sitting on drive for a few months, time to start. New battery, turned a small bit, I removed plugs and tried again, very sluggish . Engine won't turn enough to start. Any tips.

yep standard mk1 punto problem when parked up
your alternator has seized
undo the belt and retry cranking
you might get away with giving the alternator a good crack with a hammer or spin it up to free it in the vice with a socket on an airgun on the pulley but its usually best to just change the alternator

i might be wrong of course.
