Hello all. I need to replace the coolant temp sensor. Can anyone tell me exactly where it is ? Have had a search on here and looked in Haynes manual but I'm still not sure. Thank you
I think this sensor is only used for instrument panel. For the engine management it will be on the other side. Has a blue top.
In this case you should replace the blue one, as the other one is not used for engine management purposes.Hello all. It's the 1.2 60 version. Trouble with hot starting so want to eliminate that from being the problem and it's a pretty cheap part to replace.
In this case you should replace the blue one, as the other one is not used for engine management purposes.
so this one way of finding out if water temp sensor is bad
dunno if the 75 uses same temp sender as the 55 and 60, but on them your looking for
10kΩ @ 0°C
5kΩ @ 20°C
10Ω @ 60°C
But in the haynes, your looking for the first page of the Chapter titled 'Fuel, exhaust & emission control systems' for this info.
In this case you should replace the blue one, as the other one is not used for engine management purposes.
