Technical electrics? fiat? ground hog day

hey

can anyone help, mt rear window demister, electric windows and cd player have all stopped working? obviously fuses i thought but after checkin every sing fuse includin in the engine bay not one is duff! wot else cud it b apart from all 3 breakin coincidently at the exact same time! its a 115 bravo 99! ant advice wud be super

the joys if italian electrics

first check for cross-circuit shorts. remove the fuse for any one of the 3 offenders, if that makes the other 2 work you know you have a short in that circuit.

also check for any random objects in the fuse box that shouldnt be there.


then get a multi meter out and work your way around the circuit that is messed up (using Jug's approach) check that current is flowwing from a-b b-c etc along the wire. if it doesnt then you know the two points that are broked

also if it appears to be fine then remember to check that the items are earthing ok. as this can trip people up from time to time..


i remember having this sort of fun with a mini once.... so much fun in fact that i bought a new car lol..

eventually it was a small loose connection that i had missed.
