Nice N reg Punto Cabriolet 1.6 ELX. Just had new built free-running (guaranteed) ecu fitted following head gasket replacement.

No start although everything else is working. No imobiliser to confuse things either....

Diagnostics will check it next week, but is there something basic I and my mechanic are overlookiing?

Any sensible suggestions?

Crank sensor could be the issue, that's the main thing I'd think it would be.

Does it try to start or just nothing there? Is the starter motor okay as well.

I'm banking on it being a sensor though.

It has started and run. But then doesn't...diagnostics say all OK.
Am I missing something basic here?

How did it run?
Will it start up again?

Did you put the head gasket on the right way? (Not sure if it's an issue on your engine but on the Fire's it's often a problem)
