I have a 2004 Ducato 656 and the speedometer has stopped working. Anyone any ideas where I can get a new sender unit?

Is this recent thread relevant?

The part number I highlighted in the "Coastal Motorhomes" link seems to apply to most engines of that era (but check), and note that, with the number from that link, a much cheaper aftermarket unit was identified and bought.

I did not originally reply as it seemed that you already sufficient help. However are you sure of your diagnosis? A common cause of speedometer failure on x244 and perhaps later models, is failure of fuse F11 in the engine bay fusebox. Fuse F11 is notorious, as it supplies several items including the "Oil Vapour Heater". This heater can develope a short circuit fault that will repeatedly blow F11.

In the UK climate, the simple fix is to unplug the heater. Attached photo is from underneath a vehicle with a 2.8jtd engine.
