Technical ducato gearknob broken

lift up gear knob has just come off in my hand OOPS!
2002 hymer camper
is it worth trying to glue it back
or do I just get a new one
any thoughts?

Mine is glued for 5 years just make sure the spring is on when you glue it. Knob is moulded to the shaft so you'd have to replace the shaft to replace the knob.

Contact adhesives are just that, good for paper etc,Most are just a tacky mess! get a decent glue, two pack that you mix, make sure surfaces are clean, dust and grease free.

looked like evostik had been used before.
just tried one quickset glue
the spring just pushed the knob off again

just going to mix an epoxy resin one
here's hoping

Glued mine with mitrefast superglue, epoxy should be fine though.

hi there
tried two part epoxy
it seems to have held ok
leaving it for 24 hrs
before using it
will let you know if any problems
