Technical Ducato 3ltr throttle butterfly valve..

Hi Has anyone fitted or have had a new throttle butterfly valve fitted to the ducato 3ltr engine.
I ask because I have a problem with loss of power having had one replaced following a fault code shown on diagnonstic check.
Problem I had requiring the diagnostic check was vehicle tending to run Lumpy at times, similar to a fuel hunting simptom.
The valve was supposidly the cause. Hence replaced. The vehicle starts and runs smooth. Engine revs easily when stood.
BUT on motorways struggles on up hill gradients. It is the semi automatic gearbox.
wondering if any one has any suggestions for cause. THANKS
