Technical Creaking from front

Hi everyone

I have a 2010 1.2 Panda Eleganza, which has started creaking from the front (possibly the nearside wheel) when I set off from stationary. There is a bit of creaking from 0-5mph, and then no further adverse noise, although occasionally there's a faint creak as I bring the car to a halt.

I've tried pressing down on the front corners to test the suspension for noise, but that seems OK, so I suspect some kind of loose mounting somewhere. Has anyone else had this, and/or does anyone have any suggestions before I head down to the garage?

next time,
just "lightly" press on the brake pedal,
see if the noise stops / changes tone,

Culprits for me would be top mounts or track rod ends..

drop links / ARB too,

Yep any of those things and all pretty cheap and easy to fix.

Easiest one to check is a seized brake caliper. Jack the car up - does the wheel rotate freely. Check your pads/disks and have a general look around while you're there.
