Hi all had Sedici a year now 1.6 petrol 2007. Goes well fantastic 4WD drive capability with winter tyres. They love these cars in Switzerland (swiss mini)
Thats why I bought one. Mine is going great, but on cold mornings I get a loud whine when first starting and revving which dissapears as it gets warm quite quickly. Then virtually silent perhaps you can just here whine still in background but only if you open the bonnet. I took off both belts and started it up. Noise still there so not AC unit or tensioner pully. Alternator,water pumps or belts. Only done 43.000 miles so should not be cam chain (hopefully) does not rattle when warm. Put a stethoscope around cam chain area seems quiet.
Question before I start pulling it apart is there a common failure on these engines or anything else quirky.
Any input or info gratefully recieved.
