Hi all,
After initial problems with a broken clutch cable plastic pedal attachment I broke my third clutch cable (again the plastic attachment) this week. After lubricating the clutch fork intensively without results, my attention shifted to the clutch cable itself. I have now used WD40 to spray (soak) inside the cable housing at the pedal side, which gave a smooth clutch immediately. Later I will use penetrating oil to lubricate the cable properly. Conclusion: keep the clutch cable lubricated properly, otherwise you could get a very heavy clutch and break either the cable or the plastic pedal attachment.
For anyone who has troubles with multiplas with the mechanical clutch cable (not hydraulic).
