Have you thought about buying some black vinyl from a signwriting company and having a go yourself? :chin: The process is a bit like tinting windows - you 'float' the film on using soapy water so that you can squeeze out the air bubbles along with the water. Cutting the squares would be easy for the centre but possibly a bit harder at the edges if you want to get clever and make the squares curved so that they appear square (if you get what I mean) - obviously the professionals decided that was in the too-hard basket! :bang:
BTW the only time I've done this was to put race numbers on the side of my Uno. I used a PC-controlled vinyl cutter, which tends to also be at signwriters...

just had a quote from these guys, they said they would use cast vinyl. gauranteed to last 10years.
they said cast is the best for the job? is this correct?
they said its £135 roughly, thats bought and fitted.

A mate of mine owns a body shop http://www.bodyandtuning.co.uk/ maybe give him a call? he does a brill job on anything he works on and nothing goes out of his place until it's perfect, a couple of his cars he's worked on have won awards and one was on front cover of max power.
