Hello everyone,

I'm buying a Punto MK2 1.2 60ch. But the car didn't pass the french safety inspection. The report tell me that the front suspension ball joint need to be changed.

Is this part replaceable or should I replace the whole suspension arm ?

Thanks for your help.

P.S. : I hope to use the right term for the parts...

Lower control arm ball joint
These arnt pressed in, they are part of the entire arm :(

So new arm only option

Take care removing anti roll bar bolts as they do tend to snap if rotten in the arms

Also
When refitting the arm
Ensure you dont tighten bolts fully untill car is back down on its own wheels (a little tricky)
But it prevents you destorying the bushings upon it first been lowered to the ground

Thanks a lot for your answer Ziggy, I know what I'm gonna do on my sunday then...

lets hope the bolt doesnt shear that holds it to the hub
if it does you need to source another one
do not put any old bolt in:)
