Technical catalytic convertor £700 WTF

Ok i need a cat for a 07 1.2 petrol grande punto. Have been to 2 garages and they tell me there is no after market cat and the only option as one of fiat for £700. Please help.

If im correct, I believe that the cat is part of the manifold? Not sure if it’s the same on the 1.2 but it is on my mjet.

If it’s the case try a breakers for a used one. You would just need to buy a new gasket.

i just went on ebay, first thing to come up was a second hand cat for £187 delivered,

second hand obviously but off a low mileage car.

whats exactly wrong with yours? surely it cant just not work after 3 years?

maybe you could rip the insides out of your "broke one" then get a exhaust shop to weld a universal cat in underneath your car?
