if its a 1.6 model the resistance of each injector should be 14.5-15 ohms

Thanks for correcting me(y) ,I stated 8 ohms cause I done a old style multipla other week (1.6) & I was getting approx 8 ohm.Basically your looking for a 'abnormal' reading from one (or more?) injectors.

found a scrap X reg fiat brava 1.6 identical engine the older engines look completely different and the fuel injectors are in a different place so pretty sure the fuel injectors are the same.

gettin the full fuel rail for £40 so £10 a injector will test to make sure the work of course. how hard a job is it to get this fuel rail out it looks quite hard as it is under the engine?

do u need to replace the gaskets on the inlet manifold when changing one of the injectors?

you leave the lower inlet manifold attached to the head, but loosen or remove the upper inlet manifold, which has a black rubber gasket inbetween the upper an lower parts. rubber gaskets are reusable.
