hi guys, i got a 01 plate brava last summer and at in december bought a new car bought a new,i didnt use it for a few weeks and it started fine and went for a drive,yesterday i went to go out in it and it wont start,it turns over but wont start and its got plenty of fuel in!...any ideas guys?
 
not uncommon when you leave a car this time of year. its usually due to damp on the ignition components. try a squirt of WD40 on the coil and plug connections (both ends of each HT lead).

if the starter is turning, but it seems a bity slower than usual, it may be due to a slightly flat battery. if you leave the battery for a few weeks it has to lose some charge, this could be causing your problems as the correct voltage needs to be maintained for the ignition system to work (or you get no sparks), it could be the case that your voltage is dipping too low to start the engine with the starter motor turning. charging the battery or jump starting would overcome this problem, so would a bump start.
