Technical Brake light issue

Hi,

Been having an issue with my brake lights.
Basically they dont come off when i release the pedal unless i give the pedal a little nudge upwards, ive noticed the pedal seems to have a little vertical movement in it whereas the other pedals dont so thought that might be the issue. so was wondering if anyone had any ideas and if there was anything i can do to sort this without going to a garage and spending money i can afford lol.

Faulty switch which probably just needs realigning

It's the brake light switch, I would get a new one, I had to because I failed my m.o.t as it was sticking, it was only £16

Remove switch, pull black plunger down with pliers to make it longer, refit switch and it will self adjust to correct length.

Leasen to multipete, the switch itself raraly goes wrong, it just goes out of adjustment. easy 5 minute job to do.
