I have a Ducato 2.5tdi 1998 based motorhome in very good condition.
I would like to convert the rear brakes from drums to discs.
Can anyone tell me if this is possible and if so what type/make/model braking system I need to source.
The rear wheel sits inside the vehicle body so spacing from original drums would be an issue using standard wheels.

The very simple answer is do not do it.

Your best option is to get the system fitted by the vehicle manufacture working as designed.

It won't be very easy or cheep to do as I don't thit they ever offered a factory rear discs or something that are so you'd be looking at Getting brackets and parts custom fabricated

Drum should offer plenty of braking power anyway if they are working fine on the rear

The hand or parking brake normally operates on the rear wheels.

Where discs are fitted at the rear, a top hat disc is often used to accommodate small diameter drums for the hand brake.

Poor performance of these small drums fitted to Ducatos has attracted much discussion.

This poor performance is probably due to the necessary small diameter.

The OP's proposal could be a case of, out of the frying pan into the fire.
