Technical bonking sound in steering

Hello guys,

since this afternoon i hear a weird "bonking" noise in the steering of my bravo.
Most if you start driving and turning the steering wheel a bit and in low speed.

Someone who knows about this? thanks, Peter

Maybe the "switch" of the corner lights? I think this is it,i noticed something like this on my bravo.

Most likely the top mounts, sounds like it from your description.
Very common on the grande punto.

Maybe the "switch" of the corner lights? I think this is it,i noticed something like this on my bravo.

There is no 'switch' for the cornering lights, it works off of the EPS position sensor I believe

hi guys, problem solved.

sound came from the telescopic steering shaft, inside under the dash.
i removed it from the steering rack and moved it a few times in and out so the grease inside was all over it again.

problem solved!!
