These are the ZONES covered by Tom TomThinking of getting one from this ebay seller. Could someone with the unit advise me what comes with the unit it terms of maps, etc. Thanks.
I did think about getting the Go LIVE 1005 model which is 5 inch (bigger than the 4.3inch of the B&Me Tom Tom Live 2) but I haven't been able to check if it will fit into the Alfa / Fiat cradle for the 68R option port since it's not sold in Ireland.
Are these really worth the money? or would a plug in and play garmin do just was well? I've never really been a TomTom fan, especially after a virus knocked out the live stuff on my plugin version last month!
You can always navigate using 'dead reckoning' and failing that most people have those iphones with 3g anyway = )
Depends how much use you put it to, the Live Traffic is excellent in the UK pinpointing jams to the exact spot, but after the first year costs a tad under £50 as year to renew, Maps updates can be had for £19.99 for 8 updates (2 years) if you can find a halfords that still has the discount upgrade cards in stock,
Its great not having cables across the dashboard
If you are not worried about the about and are not interested in the B&M Features on the unit (Media player control etc), then there are other cheaper alternatives avaiable,
Personally I think its cheap (At the £230- Ebay Price) - Which puts it at about the same price as the standard 1000 non B&M Version.
The above ebay seller appears to no longer be selling them
It will interesting to see what this one will go for.
I put my bid in on Goofbay with 4 seconds to go. However, I was not successful, the winning bidder was obviously keen to get it as he had placed an earlier higher bid.
I would not be keen to spend much more than £175 for one with no warranty.
