Anyone with the Alcantara binnacle cover finds it can rattle, mainly when the aircon is on cooler temperatures.
I think the cold air is contracting the plastic making the cover slightly loose resulting in the rattle.
Pushing on it stop’s it for a few seconds only but it keeps coming back.
I’m thinking of trying to remove it and stuff a bit of foam where it meets the dash.
Anyone ever remove one of these? I think it’s only held on by one screw but like all fiats, pulling plastic parts off tends to break some hidden clips.

What is a binnacle cover?

I thought a binnacle is a waist-high case or stand on the deck of a ship.
Probably a more technical name for it, but it’s just this little part over the clocks. There appears to be no screws to try and remove it so I could pack a bit of foam under it.
