Just taken delivery of my new 500C and want to keep the paintwork pristine. What is the best treatment to avoid light scratching, fading etc.
I don't have time to spend the whole day with multi stage processes so just want the best wax or polish to protect it.
Any recommendations?

Zymol cleaner wax, all the stages in one, it cleans and waxes in one ?

My first post !

I've got, well I say I've, I actually mean my wife has just got a 14 plate 500 pop in red. We've never owned a new car and I've never had to look after new paint work...I've always had 5-6 year old cars that need a good polishing when bought....it's almost like a right of passage where you set out your intentions before you start.

I've been using AutoGlym products for over 15 years and I have never been left wanting for anything other AutoGlym. I used to always use super resin followed by extra gloss protection until I ended up getting lazy and life gets in the way!

Since getting our 500 I have a renewed passion for looking after something from scratch, so I looked into it and decided that Aqua Wax after each wash was a good way to go.....I'm mega impressed....as long as it's not left to dry it's bloomin awesome!

I reckon it'll get the super resin and extra gloss twice a year and jobs a gooden but I'll change that approach if needed.

Hope that helps :)

Hi, welcome, and congrats on YOUR new 500, :)

glad you know what works for you, (y)

I was conned into buying something for my RED Punto. that clearly doesn't work,
£500 paint protection coating,

the supplying dealer gave it a few free washes, and (presumably with a treatment added) looked o.k.,

but now without the "aftercare" it's lousy..:( the whole point of paying the money was that I didn't need to do too much..( knackered leg I can't stand on..)

so how much time / how often does the decent waxing take..??

If your after a long term coating to protect the paintwork look at the likes of Cquartz or Gtechniques coatings...

you will need this to clean the paint before application
