back story: My Grandfather had a 1960 Gran luce Special he brought over from Italy brand new. When he passed, I got the car. This was before the internet, so when the motor needed rebuilding i had to rely on the local Fiat shop. They dropped the block and it cracked. I parted withthe car because i was naieve and didnt know it's worth.
I bought a Siata Spring shortly after.
This was back in 1977.
Fast forward to today, I bought a 1969 Siata Spring. I havent taken possession yet, but I know it needs some parts to get it back to 100%, which is a silly statement because even at 100% the care can only acheive an 80% rating. LOL.
I have a headache searching on this site already and was hoping someone could make it easier for me to find a source of parts. Surely there is a hardcore Fiat person among this group who knows of a friend of a friend who has a trove of Siata parts just waiting for a good cause? Any help would be appreciated. I will keep you posted on the progress of my little egg yoka as it develops. Peace!
