Just had an enjoyable break in our motorhome and returned to offload the vehicle and then park up. Now the engine won't restart :bang: Never had this problem before in years of ownership.

There is a slight click when the ignition key is turned, the start up lights and running lights going on, but there is no other sign of life. The engine is not turning over at all. The exclamation warning light IS showing but no code for what the problem is.

We have:
ensured the starter battery is fully charged
confirmed with jump leads that gearbox to chassis earth is good
changed batteries in both sets of keys
tapped the starter solenoid

Breakdown service have found NO faults on the Bosch diagnostic machine
There is no immobilizer padlock showing

We have two sets of keys, one master and one secondary. Oddly the separate transmitter which goes with the secondary key is no longer working, despite new batteries. This maybe a coincidence? The master key works fine.....apart from not starting the vehicle

does anyone have any suggestions please?

Is your vehicle fitted with a CAL starter fuse on the battery +ve terminal fusebox - Is there 12V at the end of the thick starter motor connecting lead, or at the jump start connecting point?

Possible faulty starter motor?

We had a 14? year old Vauxhall Astra from nearly new. Still started OK, but prepared to change the battery at first hint of starting problems. Went on short shopping trip, and got no response when turning the key for return trip. Diagnosed by AA as starter motor.
