Alarm

im having trouble with my alram system on my fiat punto the remote to turn the alarm off is not working with the car. i changed the battery and still not working. i belive its still the factory fitted alarm but not to sure how to find out does anyone know how to fix the problem or find out what the alarm type is?.

Have you looked in the handbook to see if there is anything in there about re-programming it

yeah it dont really give much info on it. theres no over ride key to stop the alarm eitther.

i think the fob may need reprograming but not sure if i can cause i dont have the code cads 4 the now fobs will this be a problem?

I would have thought it would be a problem to be honest, but not sure if those codes are the sort of things that Fiat keep on a data base or something? Might be worth going into a dealership and asking
