1100 Aircone Filter VS The Original Airfilter

Hi guys

Is it wise to install the Aircone filter on the Fiat Uno 1100? I once saw it on the other's guy's car and it sounded quite nice, I heard it can also give the car a little power boost and lower the fuel usage as well,i am not quite an expert on these things. I've made a research I can a cone for as little as R150 + the vent pipe. Please advice what the advantages and disadvantages?

The same engine used in the Seicento with a restrictive inlet to the carburettor/throttlebody, so better intake might be worth fitting. However, the 1100 is not the most powerful engine so I doubt a fancy inlet pipe will make any difference.

All these pipe's do is increased the noise transferred through the Inlet

It will make minimal difference to power and fuel consumption maybe 1-2 hp if your are lucky

Depending on where it's mounted it can reduce power as it can be sucking in hot air from under the bonnet
