I don't care any more what can someone do with the details except spam you with junk mail?. Won't have to buy toilet roll If I get any more

If its anything like the laptops I setup its useless to anyone as the main data partition (the only place users are allowed to save data) is encrypted to a very high level and needs 2 16 char encryption keys to be entered to access the data. The keys are generated from a random 256kbit dat file.
Saying that some users I have dealt with have been known to leave their logon details and crypt keys in the same bag as laptop..... "Muppets"

my 1st thought on hearing about this laoptop theft is wouldnt the thief just reformat it for selling on?
I am wondering why it was thought necessary to have so much information on a laptop. Surely the information should be held securely at HQ and only the minimum information needed to take home/ to a business meeting etc should be transferred to the laptop to take away to work with. It's not rocket science.
