Technical 2006 2.0 HDi Dickie fuel gauge (Old shape)

My fuel gauge is showing 1/4 full when you fill it up. The bottom quarter still works correctly. But any more than a quarter of a tank fuel & it only shows a quarter on the gauge.
I got a second hand fuel sender unit and plugged it in but this made no difference.

Does anybody have the ohms reading for the fuel send unit?

220 ohms for an empty tank, near zero when the tank is full. There should be approx. 8 volts over the open wires. If not, the regulator in the gauge is defective.

Checked the spare one and its reading what you said so now have to check for 8volts

I’m suffering the same fate with my 02reg 2.8jtd. Did you ever get to the bottom of this?
