Hi everyone
Wonder if someone could help? I have a problem
I have a Fiat Scudo 2003 diesel 2.0 JTD - 150'000 on the clock and just had full MOT. Runs well, engine appears pretty dry and in good condition. However, I'm getting a smelly cabin, like smelling diesel exhaust when the blowers are on. It's not really strong when driving on the open road, but smells pretty bad when I stop and the car is idling, from the fans, usually after a few seconds of stopping. More noticeable on warm air (although that could be just me)
Turning to recirculation helps.
I've had it into 2 garages and they both confirm no issues with exhaust and no vapours etc from the engine. Last mechanic spent quite a bit of time looking around and could't see anything.
Is this just something I have to accept from a nearly 20 year old van? My diesel car is 10 years old and no smells when I have the heaters on.
Any ideas?
