My 2002 Scudo 2.0JTD 16v Combi engine has now for the third time in 3years just cut out for no reason, and an orange light comes on. The hand book says DO NOT carry on and see a fiat engineer. After a minute or two the engine will re-start and run 100%, although the amber light still shows on the dash. after a few hours the orange light goes out.
The engine and I together have covered 124000 miles NO PROBLEMS
Is this a major fault that could cost a lot of money.
