Technical 1999 Citymatic Gearbox trouble

Howdy, I'm new to this sort of thing and I'm looking for some wise advice!! I have a 1999 Citymatic Siecento. I have been told that the gearbox needs recalibrated. Is this likely to be expensive or would I be cheaper replacing the gearbox/ clutch???

Unsure of gearbox callibaration but if it is the actual clutch part on the citymatic is an expensive fix and is always failing, and is one of the main rerasons why the car isnt very good sadly

Thanks for the advice. Here's hopin' that its not the clutch then!!! Have you any idea what this would cost me? Wld it be cheaper to repair or replace? Cheers.

Is it possible to just replace the clutch rather than the clutch actuator??? ANY HELP HERE WOULD BE MAGIC!!!

The City matic uses a manual gearbox with electronic actuation. It is usually the actuator or its ECU that packs up.

Changing the clutch is no different to doing a manual one.

realisticaly most change ot full manual due to the cost/rarity of parts
