Technical 100 watt head light bulbs, (safe or not)

I have been given some super white 100 watt headlight bulbs, but was told that wiring may not be able to handle them, is this true, or are they safe to fit

They are illegal for road use and may attract some unwanted attention. I believe you are only allowed 55w which are what normal ones are. If you have higher wattage you will pull more Amps and risk your wiring.

And the heat generated will likely melt the plastic headlamp lenses.

If you dont relay them your stalks may melt. Use a 30 amp fuse with the relay and make sure its wired up properly. For "off road use" only

They'll be fine as long as 'E' marked

basicly they must be e marked and same wattage as oem think they have to be 6000 kelvin or greater (basically daylight white) watch the solid blue tinted bulbs as they get over hot as the blue filter absorbs other wave lengths think black vs white t shirt in the midday sun
