Technical 1.9 turbo D Punto (part identification) 57reg

Hi all I have a 57 plate fiat Punto 1.9turbo Diesel I've taken the throttle off to try and investigate what my ongoing problem is and this small circular piece with a thread on it was sitting within the throttle housing , not attached to anything. Can anybody identify what it is and where it needs to be please?

Can anybody identify what it is and where it needs to be please?

I am guessing part of the EGR valve.
