Hi all

A 866 cam, 38/40mm TB and 4-2-1 exhaust are common upgrades for the 1108cc fire engine, but what do they really do?

Is there anyone with this, or a similar setup that has had they're car on the dyno?
If you have can you let me know what the results where. I'm really curios what if they are good upgrades.

thank you already

There is one from Centomania in PL. Rough translation of the mods:

1.1 SPI, 866 cam, exhaust mani 4-2-1, removed cat, some replacement silencers, exhaust diameter standard, tb enlarged, head slightly worked over with larger valves, chipped, K&N 57i filter.

You will find more of dyno results here (but lots of them much heavier mods):

well that's actually quite impressive, as it is a cheaper setup..
Almost 80 horses.. That's about my goal..
So if i take a 1.1 with modified head, 4-2-1 header and 38mm Throttle body and a 866 or even a 298 cam, iI suppose i could reconsider buying a 1.1 and convert it to MPI...

Any thoughts on this setup?
1.1 fire engine
866 cam
Modified Punto 75 head
4-2-1 header (punto 75)
MPi intake manifold (Punto 75)
Lightweight Flywheel

I am aiming on something like 70/80 horses, everything extra would be really nice off course :D

Just fit a p60 or P75 motor. Unless you must keep it 1.1 then the 1.2 is a much better base to start with. If you can't get a hold of a P75 motor then the 60 will do but don't expect the same gains.

Personally, I still think 100bhp is achievable from the 1242 8v mpi p75 motor. But most people aiming for that mark just throw a turbo at them and run low boost. But NA is where it's at.
