Hello Everyone,

As a fresh owner of a Fiat Stilo 1.9 JTD Multijet MultiWagon from 2005, I have some (probably stupid) questions about this joy of a car:

1. Is there any cigarette lighter in the front part of the car? I only noticed one in the trunk.
2. Is there any aux input that I can use for music on my phone?
3. Is there a Bluetooth or any other way to listen to music from my phone in the car?

I can imagine that there are several models of Fiat Stilo, and the configurations are different, so please let me know what information I need to provide, and I`ll do my best to do it.

I`m not allowed to post a link to my console, but it`s the model with the big LCD screen in the middle, phone and AC controls below.

Based on this, I assume it`s also difficult to buy and fit a new player in the car, since there is no "regular" slot for such a thing.

I`m sorry if this was already asked, but the Search function results didn`t provide me with very useful information.

Looking forward to the knowledge you can provide, and I`m really happy to have bought this car, it drives like a dream.

2 = there are devices available at a price for SD card music or aux input although at present can not remember the name, also recall someone had found the input wires and made an aux input though that thread was sometime ago.

3 = For a cheaper option some phones that have a jack plug socket for headphones..can be used to plug in an FM transmitter item , then tune in the card radio to it or set it as a preset when wanting the music from phone to be played through car radio, have used this way many times myself and not too bad for an item that costs less than £10, it runs on 2 AAA batteries that last a good time, though using rechargeable ones is a good choice if decide on this option.

Thank you for the update guys.
Next to the handbrake I only have a plugged hole (most likely meant for a cigarette lighter), but there isn`t one fitted.

Regarding the change of the head unit, do you have any models or threads related to this? Since the OEM one is very big, I don`t want my dashboard to look like a mini Frankenstein monster once I`m done upgrading it.

Any other things that I should be aware of related to this car?

In my opinion it will always look uglier if you put in an aftermarket head unit because you'll need a massive fascia panel to cover the rest of the gap. The one with the shelf below isn't too bad but still quite ugly. If you put in a big touchscreen unit then it would look better but those are expensive.

I'm not sure about specifics, mine is just a generic sony, standard sized, one.

I don't like the way that the radio unit bulges out from the centre, that's what causes it to look weird/ugly.

I have put a double din touch screen in mine and the surround facia gives the same bulge look tbh but it looks better than my old standard pioneer single din head unit

Can you recommend me any single din model that would also allow me to connect it to the steering wheel commands? Or if there is a need to get something else to make this happen, what would that be?

Most single dins need an adaptor to do the function where as my double din has the wiring ready

Can you give me the name of your model or even others that might have the wiring already? I want to check for price and availability.

Mine was a Chinese stereo of eBay can't remember the make but quite a few of them do pioneer Sony etc should have this on there double dins my advice look at some on eBay they normally list if they do or don't

I just pulled the trigger and got the Pioneer MHV-X380BT.
The fascia panel is also on it`s way.

I was considering a double din, but it doesn`t make sense since I don`t watch movies in the car, and all I want is USB, AUX and Bluetooth for phone calls (all covered by this model).

Now, I see that this model should be able to connect to the steering wheel controls for most cars, but I`m not sure if Stilo is also included. Is there any way to find out if I need an adapter or not?
Can anyone confirm if the available wires are all that I need to connect the steering controls directly? I wanted to post a link to the player and the available wiring, but I`m not allowed to post URLs yet.

Here is the link to the head unit: http://www.pioneer-car.eu/eur/products/mvh-x380bt/specifications
And the cables that come with it:
