hi guys again

i have just got my self

but when i connect to the car i keep getting make sure the ignition is on cant connect. i have tried all colour leads and on it own but getting same message, its connecting to the scan box getting flashing lights on it, but cant connect to the car, i have used Multiscan and forscan im on windows 10, but coming back not connected, has anyone got one of these and managed to connect?
my car is a Stilo 1.6 16.V 02 Plate,

hi guys
ok here goes. today i have installed new cluster, it with the tft screen, i did ask on this forum to make sure it will work on my car and was told that the oil screen may not work, all connected up screen on other lights are too. also connected cruse control stalk,(i have the plug already hidden under column) result! i get cruse control activated, also today the multi scan tool arrived i have installed the multi scan software, ok so i am needing a little help with dash and to get it working as it should, at the moment my mileage and the time clock are flashing, i cant find the menu for setting time date, when i am pressing the mode button the is no option to set it. im a newbe in regards to scanning ecu's ext. can someone here be able to guide me or even teamViewer to my pc and connected to my car so i can watch and learn on this, your guys help will go along way in the satisfaction on enhancing my stilo.

So - you're now connected via OBD port..??:confused:

see posts by Aj80 he's done a fair few upgrades,

I helped get the new parts communicating with MES ( proxy alignment)

so it SHOULD all be possible.. assuming you ARE getting a reliable connection to ECU / Body computer

Hi varesecrazy thank you for getting back to me, i thought i was let here and forgotten about lol.... phewww. yes i am connected to the port on top of my fuse box. i have managed to look at the engine ecu and done test and working fine, so there is no issue with connecting as i first thought, but still don't know what i am doing in regards to getting this dash up and running, (well its running but incorrectly as mentioned above) i am going to be stuck in my drivers seat tonight hooked up to this website looking for help. im just gong to sort the pets out for the evening then look at Aj80s as you have mentioned maybe get to grips with this, ;)

ok i think i know what i have done wrong, even though i have paid for the equipment to connect to the cars ECU im i right in thinking i will also need to get some licence to be able to do what need to be done to the new/ebay cluster? Ie setting the time and date and & also stop the mileage flashing?? sorry if i am coming across stupid this is new to me, again thank you all for taking time in reading this and your help so far! hopfully i can get this all sorted soon so i wont be such a nag lol...

Hi - I also have one of these fitted to mine.
Firstly, hope the dash cluster is one from a lesser mileage vehicle to yours.
If so, you will need the registered version of multiecuscan for the proxi alignment feature, this will stop the mileage flashing issue. You will need to connect to the dashboard/instrument panel ecu for the proxi alignment feature. Keep an eye out for the LCD screen dimming after a few days, you will need to do this: https://www.fiatforum.com/stilo/355124-stilo-abarth-speedometer-lcd-fault.html
 
thank you onas5 my credit card company wont be happy!!! lol the clock was of lesser value that what mine was! so i have stopped the mileage blinking and now have the menu on screen to set the date and time. (Yes had to buy a license only £37.75 or €50.00 Problem solved in this case. hope other people who has the same issue read this so it can help them. that's what this forum is for after all. now i have it for a year so anyone near to me in south Wales give me a shout I can try and help you out, :) so much to explore with this new tool, now, im sure there is somewhere i can make my hazards blink when i press the remote! Anyone???

where abouts are you i was told i needed my rear electric windows proxy aligned if you can help :)

As far as I can make out from Yani's MES website, you will always be able to use the software, but after your 1 year license expires, you will not get any further updates to it.

Select your vehicle, then "Body", then "Body Computer Marelli (192)" then "Connect" then "Adjustments", then "Indicators command". You will need the car's electronic security code to change it.

Hi for your help there Davren, its now working thanks to you, ;)

ok so here is the next issue i have, before i did the proxy alignment for the dash i was getting message that the cruse control was activated, i have pluged in the stalk but not getting any info on the dash and screen regards to it being active, there must be a munu on the software to get it working again, can someone guide me in to getting this working again? Thank you everyone with your support and teaching me, ;)
