Hi guys i bought myself a fiat stilo 5 door last year and been on here for a little while so thought i would start a project thread so when i bought my stilo it werent in the best condition to be honest its got a few dinks here and there but for the price it werent bad :lol: unfortunately it had the dreaded ocs failer which was an easy fix from ebay so from the pics you will all see i have changed the standard lights into depos to give it a better look from the front added some 15" alloys but werent happy so sold them and got some deep dish 17" wolfrace alloys which i have sticker bombed the beauty rings, also tinted the rear lights and led one set of side lights so will up date as tge car progresses and hope you like the whats been done to my stilo all comments welcomed and be happy to answer any questions that are asked so as promised pics from start to so far....

Your front end sits higher than mine or You got 14" wheels on that?

The first set of alloys were on 195 50 r15 tyres and now i have 205 40 r17 on the front and 205 50 r17 on the rear GPz750 but tbh ive always thought it sat high from when i bought it and when ive seen othet stilos :lol:

Thanks and its the 1.2 16v buddy tbh its suprisingly ecomonical and nippy for a small engune in a biggish car

they are a great little engine, I used to have a Mk1 Punto 16v sporting, I always wondered what the 1.2 stilo would be like to live with lol.

Its not bad tbh local get between 60-70 miles to £10 of fuel and it cruises pretty well on the motor ways in 6th gear but tbh i would say for the cars size the engine copes pretty well and im suprised not much has gone wrong with my stilo except the ocs :lol: this is my previous car for anyone who is intrested

yeah, they are a great engines, the advantage the Stilo has, its not actually a particularly heavy car and the 1.2 engine from fiat is more powerful than most other 1.2 engines on the market, prime example, your old corsa I believe is around 70bhp yet your stilo is pushing out around 80-85bhp.


Personally with simple mods I had 97.1bhp out of my 1.2 16v Punto.


There is a reason that the 1.2 16v Stilo engine is a great upgrade for the Cento community.

Unfortunately the corsa was the 1.2 8v and only had 45bhp :lol: vauxhall limited these for some reason compared to the nova power out put of 60bhp iirc and thats not a bad bhp from the punto considering it was a 1.2

So small update ordered some fly eye light tint so will picture how it looks later this week

Hey, nice motor... I like how you have got the lights! I have a 5 door maroon stilo and just brought new back box, air filter and some new wheels to start it looking sweeter. I have the 1.9 jtd dynamic model so it's got some zip to it too. Would you be able to point me in the right directions for some lights??

Hi stilosteeve thanks for liking my stilo unfortunately mate no one sells these in this country I've had to make mine into the depo headlights which is a real shame tbh as imo it gives the stilo a way better look

Also the centre piece where the stereo is as gone from the first picture to the second one and the third is how it looks now with the stereo back in

So got a progessive day sticker bombed the wing mirrors and fly eyed the head lights

oooo them headlights are a bit dark lol.


deffenetly wont be Fly eyeing mine, will just stick to the Depo look I think lol.

They seem like they are really dark mate but you still get all the same light as I did before

oh yeah I know that, it's a visual thing for me, my car is a very light colour so I don't think it would suit it, yours looks ok because it's a nice dark colour.

I dont like that it is so colorful

gothicwhisper its not everyone's idea of modding buddy some prefer the subtle mods and some prefer the far out modifications I think what everyone does will never suit everyone elses taste
