Hi guys, I'm looking at fitting a active sub, although provisionally it will be to the old cassette radio for a couple of weeks. And body have any tips or tricks? I would be grateful if someone could point me in the direction of a guide if anyone has any!
Cheers chaps!

£120 will buy you a reasonably good entry level box from the likes of FLI with a single sub or a bit more for a twin but they take up more space or if your hand with the tools you can make one yourself - I did and I reckon I only spent around £100 in parts and that's including the sub and amp plus you can make it to exactly the requirements you need.

Here's mine (this is not an active sub box - the amp is actually in a separate box bolted on the left)

Don't forget you'll need some cable for your amp power and if you want to run the amp using RCAs you'll need an adaptor as your standard head unit won't have them

I was thinking about building an enclosure, but to be honest I don't need much room in the boot, the stilos just the commuting car, I only want a little something extra just to top up what's there, I got my eye on a 12" active sub from halfrauds which doesn't seem too bad, I'm planning on putting a missile switch in the remote cable to be able to "turn" the sub on and off, just not sure how easy it will be fitting it to the visteon HU!!
