what engine oil can I use in the Fiat Stilo?

Choose your favourite brand and see what they recommend on their website for the Stilo.

I use Castrol Edge Titanium 10/60 as Castrol have a good website and readily available here. (NZ)

(it will also depend on the engine your's has)

I have a 1.8 16v stilo what percentage would you recommended?

1.4 2.8l Fully Syn 5w40 (Selenia K)
1.6 4.5l Fully Syn 5w40 (Selenia K)
1.8 4.2l Fully Syn 5w40 (Selenia K)
JTD 4.7l Fully Syn 5w40 'Diesel' (Selenia WR)
2.4 4.7l Fully Syn 10w60 (Selenia Racing)

buy the best you can afford... anything but retailer own brand stuff

I personally always have and will use 10w40 Semi in our 1.4 Stilo

Just quoting from owner manual

I use 10w40 in my 1.6... if im honest 5 either way isnt too disasterous

i used 5w40 fully synthetic qx in my wagon a 1000 miles ago...

Mobil 1 0w-40- 1.9 JTD. More you pay the better the quality and smoother the engine sounds. Id use a major brand before your normal Unipart own brand

TBH it all has to pass the same quality testings in most cases, Regular oil changes are better then using the expensive stuff.

i know what you MEP, i have afriend who reckons theres no difference between 10-40 cheap and expensive stuff. i have always believed an oil and filter change regular will keep and engine happy!
