Hello all,

2 years ago my wipers stopped working. I was going to replace the stalk as it was intermittent, however after unplugging the stalk and refitting it worked! Happy days (or so i thought)

Yesterday, was going to take the missus to Howdens, hopped in the car, hit the wiper stalk, driver side wiper came up half way and stopped, passenger side didn't move.

Moving the stalk causes a slight movement in the driver side wiper, however the passenger side is "loose" ie. I can move it up and down the screen by hand, but the motor does not shift it. I've had to remove the driverside one to get to work. I've tried contact cleaner on the stalk connections, but no success.

Does it sound linkage related, or electrical? I haven't had chance to strip it down to look yet :bang:

Thanks in advanced

my mum had the same on her punto, was the linkage i bodged up a solution and used a clip to keep it on its ball joint and its been fine ever since, could be a linkage problem you need to see if the motor is turning or perhaps the motor has had it
