ok soooo ive FINALLY managed to track down a CN+ unit from a fellow FF member, also i might have bought myself a MF Steering wheel off of a 2.4... unfortunately im going to have some connection issues... namely antennae for the GPS, GSM (phone), and microphone unit.

GPS i could probably deal with if i knew what kind of cable was used... hint, HINT!!

the phone isnt that important to me personally BUT i would like to install it for that OEM functionality should i ever come to sell her (y)

now as i understand it fiats GPS/GSM antenna was built into the aerial base at the back of the roof aaannnddd it probably used a different aerial, for the different wavelengths.
ive seen the punto window mount GPS unit HERE so id need to source the correct cable and a generic GSM unit HERE which i can only assume would work. as for the microphone... does it use a standard jack connector? im guessing not because its fiat :(

which one of you all knowing fiat bods would be able to help?

(y)I did that upgrade on mine recently. check out ebay for the arial GSM/Gps . Type something like alfa gsm gps arial.

Or check this out (y)

As to the microphone thats easy too. Goto Maplins and for a 12v amplifield microphone . Costs about 10 quid. Cut the jack end of of it and put some female pin connecters on the 2 wires. Connect these to pins 9 and 18 on the back of your connect nav. Next get a 12v power feed to the same wire and earth and your phone should now work perfectly as well as voice command etc. Thats what I did anyways !!:slayer:

The CN+ aerial base has 3 flyleads, one each for radio, GPS and GSM. The aerial mast is different for CN+ cars.

The GPS and GSM connectors on the CN+ are type GT5.

The standard microphone fits in the front interior light. It has a small 2 pin connector that connects into the loom. The loom connector may, or may not be in your car already. Any similar specification microphone would work.

is there any particular minimum criteria the antennae have to meet to work properly with the CN+? im assuming that anything i can pick readily off the shelf today would probably be good enough as the tech has moved on in 10 years

the reason i ask is because RS components do a GPS antenna for £9 and a GSM antenna for >£3... ill probably go for an ebay special HRS GT5-1S for £2.20 each, so under £20 for the same kinda set up with a little bit of work and waiting!
