Hub changed. Tadaaaa! Removal of the big nut didn't go as smooth as planned, so: Hail to the hydraulic impact driver! :slayer:

The pole would do the trick. But... the nut "depth / flange width" was so short that my 32 mm cups (tried two different ones) would just twist themselves off and ruin the hex edges of the nut. I would need one more person to keep it centered and angled straight to the hub. If the nut was deeper, it would fill the cup and the scafford pole method would be a success.

just to add i did my rear hubs with 50mm extension bar on socket with 1M bit of scaff bar no problem (except i wish i paid for taper roller instead of ball type bearings)

Does it exist for the Stilo? I just changed the other side yesterday when changing to summer tires. Couldn't get Fiat's genuine part this time so I used SKF (made in Italy too).

There is no taper roller bearing option for the Stilo rear hubs.

Very strange..... if they were taper bearings, they would have to be adjustable and that would require something like a castle nut and split pin to lock it with. The rear stub axle shaft isn't drilled for a split pin.
