Hello all

I have had my stilo sorned for the last six months due to using my camper over the summer.
I have gone to get it back up and running and back on the road and i cant get in.
Heres the problem....
Last winter on a very cold morning i broke the drivers side door handle mechanism wich dosent allow me to open the door from the outside only inside.
Over the period of it being parked up my battery has gone flat and the central locking wont work.
I can manually unlock the drivers door but see above
My key on the boot is tottally siezed and wont turn so i cant climb in through the boot.
Passenger door has no key mechanism. (3 door)
so im locked out so cant open the bonnet to get at the battery.

Any help advice would be much appreciated

Get a new battery for the car. You'll need one anyway if the battery in the car has been flat for more than a week or two.

1. Jack the front of the car up and put it on axle stands.
2. Crawl under the front of the car.
3. Connect a wire from the +ve terminal of the new battery to the larger of the 2 terminals on the back of the starter motor.
4. Connect the -ve terminal of the new battery to a clean metal part of the engine or gearbox.
5. Press and hold the unlock button on the remote control. Doors should unlock and the front windows should lower.
6. Reach in through the open window to open the door, then open the bonnet.
7. Disconnect the jump wires from the new battery, then the starter motor terminal and engine or gearbox. Do not try to start the car with these wires connected.
8. Fit the new battery to the car.

Or call the AA as you did for the coil a few years ago.

WD40 in your boot lock.... gently work the key in/out and twist gently until it unsiezes.

Then get in car, unlock door, pop bonnet. Connect charger and while the battery charges get your ass on ebay and order up a new door handle.
