Hi guys!

I want to start a little project with my car. Long story short I have a body comp without the remote control option and I want to retrofit a module. as I talked with one of my electrician friend it is due able, you have just find a body comp with a needed electrical parts and solver them onto the non remote equipped one.

So if someone has a broken, non working or not needed body comp gathering dust in somewhere in the garage, indifferent of motorization, but with the remote control option, i would be thankful and very happy to except it. Of course I will pay for the shipping costs.

Thank you.

(I know there is a classified section for part request, but this is something else.)

changing electronic components probably won't work - better search for a complete kit (BC, remotes, ecu ) for a similar car with RC and change the blades of the keys and the components.
Adjustment of the configuration can be done with FiatEcuScan/MultiEcuScan.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes this is probably the easy way around it, but i want to try something different. Theoretically is due able, and if i find a donor BC i will post the outcome here.

Thanks for the suggestion.

It is much more simple than it sounds. I don't know if in GB were sold, but here in Europe, especially in the first, pre face lift generation there where some really low speck Stilos on sell. These cars where sold without the remote control central locking or Key FOB option, just a simple key without buttons. I'm trying to find a donor BC, with the transponder and chip on it for the remote control central locking and retrofit it to may simple, non FOB option BC. Basically that is it. Just silvering and programing, in theory, but will see in practice what all the buzz is. So still open for offers for a donor, briken BC, from a car that had a remote central locking.

have you looked to establish if the body computer in your car actually lacks the parts needed?

chances are if it has central locking the IC that controls this will also have the remote capability, chances are its all software and you'll just need a key programming

I have tried the brakes yards, but they want to charge me the full BC price (with is about 100 pounds in euro) and since i just want the remote control "module" from it I don't want the whole BC. I already checked my BC and it doesn't have the IC module for the remote controlling, it only has the blanks there to solver the components on it. I have a registered version of FES or MES, and i tried sever time to program a remote control to my BC (and several key FOBS) but if my BC lacks these part then all the good software in the world is not enough to make it go. So since my first post I'm documenting myself and seems if I will get a donor BC than I could make my own BC a remote control unit one. Thank for the reply and suggestions guys.

Yes remote control programing is possible, but immo off or other coding must be done with the BC cpu hooked up to a pc. With MES you can program the remote controler or FOB (if this is the correct exprecion) to the BC of your car.
